The Puzzlepart kickoff for 2012 took place last week with a lot of team-spirit and some undercover collaboration. It began with the strategic goals and objectives for 2012 as can be expected for a disruptive game changer startup.

The fun started with burning rubber with three go-cart heats to see just which puzzler is the fastest in driving 9HP lawn mowers with handling like unwieldy customers. The CTO had got the pole position and was sure to deliver yet another impressive burndown in the final. Alas, others collaborated to provide the desired outcome, involving Mads in some unfortunate crashes stalling progress. Our very own Kim won the final, just beating our designer Chris who was more concerned with driving in style. In retrospective, we learned that a team effort always outwits a solo effort.

A mystery puzzler joined us for some laughs at Latter later on, ending up in a karaoke bar eager to show his passion for following clearly spelled specifications. Well into the wee hours, those who were lucky enough to be at Zinatra that night got to experience Firestarter in a completely new obfuscated version. Kim didn’t allow for solo efforts this time either, synchronized groove is not what comes to mind.

All in all, a great finish to what started out with our usual big hairy audacious goals for 2012 setting the stage.
