On behalf of the entire team here at Puzzlepart I’m writing to tell you about our recent #Upgrade where a global software company made a strategic investment in us.
Last Friday we signed a milestone agreement with Crayon Group AS, making them a majority shareholder with intentions of turning up the volume on everything we are passionate about: namely Office 365!
Crayon Group will be an active industrial owner for Puzzlepart, while we retain our brand and challenger-mentality to develop next generation cloud collaboration solutions for a global market, with a solid foundation here in Norway. We see this as a major vote of confidence and a crucial reinforcement in building value in Office 365.
Ever since we were founded in May 2008 we’ve been steadily working to provide our customers with leading collaboration tools to increase their productivity. Our focus has always been our people and delivering value for our customers. Ever since SharePoint 2007 we have worked closely with customers to innovate in the use of standard software. In customer projects as well as in our Business Apps that could reach the masses; our ambition was always Global.
This made us a Red Herring Top 100 winner, and Microsoft Collaboration Partner of the Year in addition to Microsoft Gold Partner and more. We have been an active voice in the SharePoint and Office 365 community, supporting user groups and contributing to events such as Arctic SharePoint Challenge, SharePoint Saturday and more.
This year, in 2015, under our CEO Steffen Norby’s management, we have become a +20MNOK company with more than 20 zealous professionals; all focused on boosting productivity through Office 365 collaboration with our customers.
Over the past two years we have transformed from a SharePoint powerhouse to a unique team of Office 365 collaboration experts, covering every aspect; from design, through user adoption to deep tech. Our delivery model has been adapted for the cloud too:
Compared to 2013, we are delivering to more than 10 times more customers per month with the same amount of people.
We believe this is just a part of the cloud effect happening in the market right now. Our long and in-depth experience with SharePoint and the Microsoft platform, and our notorious dogfooding culture are parts of the reason why we sport a completely unique angle to unlocking the powers of Office 365:

Our efforts on building Business Apps, combined with our strong position within Office 365 Collaboration solutions, were some of the reasons we were so intrigued when Crayon Group approached us this summer proposing to make a strategic investment in Puzzlepart.
Crayon Group shares our global ambition, but they are already a global player with presence in 23 countries, and a position as one of 4 global top tier Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) distributors. We quickly realized that we were incredibly well aligned to collaborate to deliver unprecedented value to our customers:
We’ve already worked closely on customer cases and seen time and again that customers need our mix of competencies in order to leverage the power of the Cloud.
Over the past months we established a robust agreement which we signed last Friday, closing Crayon Group’s strategic investment as a majority shareholder in Puzzlepart.

For us at Puzzlepart this represents incredible new opportunities for our customers, our team and for our projects and concepts. We will continue to be our own (slightly weird) selves, and continue innovating on technology use, delivery models and collaboration concepts. But from now on, we’ll be part of an amazing bigger family of customers and colleagues in the Crayon Group of companies.
Through Puzzlepart and Crayons shared customer base in the Norwegian Public sector, we hope for a even stronger community backing Prosjektportalen, which is now being used across more than 100 organizations in Norway (and requested internationally).
Our track record showing immediate customer value with standard Office 365 is extensive. Our new partnership will allow us to deliver our solutions at very competitive terms to all of Crayons Office 365 customer in the coming months and years.
While all details aren’t finalized yet, we are pretty sure that our upcoming launch of our brand new Assist365 service desk subscription service built for the cloud and Office 365 will get a significant boost.
